WarpSpeed Y+B are finally on...

Well, I finally had them installed today at a muffler shop ( glad I did not try it at home ). Couple of things wrong with the pipes. The Y-pipe was missing the top hanger and the B-pipe was about 6" too short after the cat. The muffler shop tacked on a new hanger and increased the length of the pipe so it would fit appopriately.

On the drive home, I noticed the exhaust had more of a growl to it, but was not loud ( B-pipe included a new resonator ). I also got on it once and rev'd it a few times and I had no banging. From a performance perspective, I have no idea since my first concern was that there was no banging. I may have an opinion later on after the ECU adjusts (if required) and I've had time to play around with it.

So far, so good.....

Took an hour and a half for the install. They did not charge me for parts so labor came to appx $78 bux.... Labor rates sure have gone up, but it was worth having it done right instead of doing it myself and not having the exhaust fit the first time.

See I don't think about b-pipe out there fits right. My budget b-pide needed another hanger welded on to keep it from banging. I paid $100 to have my b-pipe, PT1011 installed(removed now), and a new rear section custom bent.

Yes, I still have stock cat and muffler. Mine is not leaking anywhere. They did a great job with it.

I purchased the pipes prior to anyone dyno testing them. Since I would take a loss selling them at this point, I went ahead and had them installed since I had time. The true test will be my next racing adventure (Sept 6th). I may also have it dyno tested at that time, but I may have an intake on by then and I will definately have a UDP on.

Kloogy, don't **** on my pipe!!!

Yeah, I should have saved the bux and had the muffler shop build it. At least it would have fit without having to be modified

u took the B off too giovani?

Too bad I killed my rear section, cant put it back on w/o getting that new pipe. I really like how my car was before I touched my exhaust.

I just want a muffler now, a simple quiet one

I'm really happy with my budget b-pipe w/resonator. Wasn't at first, but after I got the other hanger installed to quit the banging I was happy. Why not just come some Magnaflow tips welded onto the stock muffler. I don't know exactly how free flowing the stock muff is, but that's what I did. You also I'm not boosted w/ NOS so I don't know what I'm talking about.

Finally got em installed Matt...

I'm anxious to see what they sound/feel like. Hopefully I can make it on the 6th. I gotta get my *** to school and get everything straightened out before I'm 100% sure.

The sound is definately better at WOT. My car only dynoed 5 or 6hp and 7tq with both the Y and B installed. I'm an auto so I would think the sticks would give a couple more. Butt dyno said it gave a few.

B pipe isnt too bad.
They say the exhaust is pretty high flow, but I want some sound.

It definately sounds deeper above 3k rpms when your getting on it. It's still pretty quiet during normal driving.
