Hail damage repair

I recently noticed my '02 suffered some very minor hail damage. I had the claims adjuster come out and check it out.

I have no more than maybe 30 tiny dimples in the hood, roof, and trunk lid. So minor that it's only noticable in the right light.

He recommended the paintless dent repair which he personally had good luck with. He owns a '03 WRX that suffered the same fate.

The estimate came to almost $1200 which was because of all the labor. Apparently the entire headliner and moonroof assembly need to be removed in order for the roof to get fixed. This totals 6.5 hrs of labor for that! (3 for headliner, 3.5 for moonroof).

Just wanted to know if anyone has had this done on their car and if they had any problems with rattle/leaks once everything was put back together.

Since my car is a lease, he made it sound like I was obligated to get it fixed. Of course I have my deductable set to $500 so it's that dough out of pocket for something that I can hardly notice (I'm a very **** SOB, but it's THAT minor). I doubt it'll be noticed when the car is turned in so I'm not sure if I should get it done, or leave it.

Thanks.......

My old neighbor work for a dent pulling company, and he contracts out regularly to dealers for hail damage. He just recently finish an '04 max that looked great!

Judging from the estimate, it seems like a lot of damage but if you say it's hardly noticeable, I'd just leave it.

You are usually allowed a certain amount of normal wear and tear on a lease. The leasing company can decide to charge you for repairs (when your lease is up) that are outside of the normal wear & tear parameters. They may be more leniant and overlook certain damage if you lease another vehicle with them.

Regardless, i would have it repaired. All those little dents would drive me nuts.
