New to forum. Great Site.
Hello everyone, just registered for this site. I have been browsing these forums for a while now and there is an incredible amount of information provided by everybody. Your posts have helped me install clear corner lenses, front strut tower bar and a rear anti-sway bar. I'm sure there will be more to come as well.
Thanks

ok, well seeing as you have a 2k2, i would be against you looking into a y-pipe, as a successfull one hasn't been produced AND they haven't shown to produce much, if any, HP. in other words, it ain't worth it.
to me, one of the better things to replace from your car is the b-pipe. since you prolly have read, you know there are 2 very serious crush points (right after the cat and then after the resonator) that seriously hold back a lot of back pressure, on top of the fact that we're working with 2 or 2.25" piping. i never thought it was a big thing, but last nite i swapped out for a full greddy catback EVO. and wow, i did not realize the difference it would make. before, i would have a steady power up to 2k rpm, and then it would start picking up. now, from about 1500 and up, it's a steady, and faster, increase. the car picks up so much better. if you haven't gotten an intake, i'm happy with my injen, and others are happy with their frankencars, but i'm pretty sure everyone will agree that replacing the b-pipe alone will free up a lot of held up back pressure.
good luck and welcome to the club. do you feel an itch, i think you've been bitten....it's the bug...............the mod bug.

the injen works fine for me. i don't see any major loss. i've had it for so long now that i wouldn't be able to give you an honest opinion. i'd be more than happy to swap with a stock 6spd owner and feel the butt dyno differences.
