MY buddy down the street has a 2002 Toyota Tundra SR5 (V-8) and proclaims that he can out run my 2003 Maxima SE. I tell him no way. He fires back with..."ITS A V-8!!". I think its a joke that I will have to race a truck! What the real deal here and what do you guys think?

 

I had a 2001 Limited V-8, that I traded in for my 2K2 Maxima. Actually it would be close because that Tundra is alot lighter than other full size trucks with its 245 HP, but it is NOT faster than the Max.

 

according to www.car-stats.com you should absolutely destroy him. You have a 2 second advantage in the 1/4 mile which equals about 4 car lengths or more.
