bad wheel bearings??

almost every time my cars been parked for a while and i start driving, i hear a slight whirrrrrrrrring noise comming from the wheels.

it usually happens when the car hasn't been driven for a while - about a couple of hours, and i first start it up.

does anyone else have this problem?

Surface corrosion on the brake rotors

can cause this...gets louder for a second or two as u apply the brakes for the first time, then goes away as the rotor surfaces are wiped clean...

i'm almost positive it's not surface corrosion.

even after braking for the first few times, the sound lingers for like 5 minutes.

as you drive by cars in residential's, you hear the whirring noise echoing off the parked cars. it's kinda annoying.

knowing nissan, if i take it in without a good idea of whats causing the problem, they're not gonna be able to replicate the sound and i'll be screwed.

any help guys?

Think yours are bad Mine are seriously SHOT. I am almost sure I'm riding on the glides. Oh yeah....coming to a stop is like trying to slow a run away train. I hope my wheels don't fall off. Hoon, your boys told me $325 for the job. Do they accept payments? j/k Peace_
