paint chips on hood

I was washing my car and I noticed about 10 chips in the paint on the hood. I know Nissan does not cover paint chips in the warranty, but the car is less than 1 year old. Is there anyting I can get Nissan to do to fix this? Has anyone had any success in the past?

Get a carbon fiber hood, or get a bra or a bug deflector. Thats about it.

Or keep painting the hood.

What about those chip/scratch repair things you can get at Walmart? (i.e. Meguiar's, Turtle Wax brand...)
I was thinking of buying one of those and trying it out.

Not really going to help except mask the issue from far away.

the chip is a chunk of paint that is not there any more, regardless what you put in there you are not going to see results unless is a minor scratch...

my sugestion is if is really bothering you just get it painted and get a clear bra..

Maxima 5th Gen paint sucks. I have the same problem with my 5th Gens.
It does not show up that bad on the White one but with my Majestic Blue Max it can really be noticed.

Mine is white and I have the same problems 8k and 10+ chips already. Even one on the A-pillar. Great paint!

Ten? Wow, you're way ahead of most of us - I had about 40 in my hood within 10k miles.

As someone said, get it repainted (and Nissan WILL do it if you try hard enough), then get a clear bra.

Not only the hood and front end....I've also managed to acquire one on the deck of the trunk! Right after the rear window.....not sure how I managed that one......also a chip behind the spoiler on the left corner....I've not hit anything, so have no idea how that one got there. Ahh well I guess.....
