Ok guys, heres the background, i used to have a 97 max SE 5-speed. I traded it in cause the tranny bearings, clutch and suspension were all going or gone. I got myself a 2003 Wrangler (dont ask me why, just figured the 4x4 would be nice in the snowy winters) Well Ive had it 3 months and she has 5000 miles and has been back to the dealer 4 times to try to fix the broken rear diffy. So im hoping they will declare it a lemon. Now im back looking at a max, a 2000 dark grey SE with leather, heated seats, 50k miles, bose system etc. It has a few scuffs and scratches and a small or mid sized ding on the rear right bumper squashing it towards the front an inch or so. Other than the random nicks its clean inside and out. The guy is asking 16500 for it, i figure 15000 would be a good price so that i have extra cash to repair the back bumper. What would a good price be in your opinions???? Should i start lower?

Honestly, that sounds a little too high. I got my 2002se auto for 18,500.

 

I do agree with you on that, i looked up the true market value price on Edmunds.com and its about 15000 being average in condition, (the the damage it has)

 

16,500 is way too high I got mine 3 months ago fully loaded except for the heated seats in great condition for $14,000. If that's your price range I agree with mad_maxx03 and look into a 2002.
