I don't post a lot on here, but I got an 03 Max SE Titanium, completely stock. Anyways, the funniest thing just happened to be on my way home. I'm sitting at a red light in the far right lane, windows, sunroof open listening to music, minding my own business when a loud *** 89-91 5.0 Mustang convertible pulls up next to me. The guy looks over and is saying something to me so I turn down my music. I couldn't quite make out what the mullet wearing redneck was sayin, but I think it was something like "you think you can take me?! blah blah" As he's talking, I look in my rearview and a cop pulls up right behind him, except he didn't notice him. I looked over, gave the guy a smile and nodded yes and revved my engine. The light turns green, and he frickin floors it, lighting up the tires, smoke everywhere. Meanwhile, I'm sitting there laughing my *** off as you see the cop turn his lights and blare his siren. As I drive by the guy, I give him the thumbs up and take off. What an idiot!

Awsome - had a similar thing happen with me once as a kid from high school was at a red light waitin to get on the highway (strait onramp) and i was a car behind with an undercover cop next to me. My buddy floors his focus off the line and takes off (well sort of takes off ) and surprise surprise the cop zooms off after him. i just laughed

Ouch...that's cruel.
Nonetheless, I'm guilty of the same thing: raced an Accord up a 35mph hill, hit the brakes at the top of the hill (25mph, in HEAVILY policed area...someone was ticketed for rollerblading too fast here!), and let the Accord fly by @ 50mph. Needless to say, the cop tore off after him. I can imagine his excuse, "Officer, that car was 5 lengths ahead of me before...why couldn't you have seen that?!?"

Sounds to me like you made that story up; who doesn't look in there rearview mirror especially at a stop light. I don't know, it might be me, but when I read it I was like that is sooo made up.

 

Whatever dude. You're entitled to your opinion. I don't post kill stories because I don't go out looking to race or be unsafe. I just thought this one was kinda funny because it fell right into my lap. It happened on Rt. 130 in Pennsauken, NJ. Believe me, I wouldn't take the effort to post a made up story on here. I have better uses for my time than going on here over analyzing other people's posts. Geez.

 

Nice one... You would have probably beat him anyways if you did race, assuming his car wasn't modded. You would have really killed him considering the smokey burnout he did as well.

That is funny story. I had similar story happen to me and with Mustang too .
It was V6 Musntand and some chick was driving it. We did a run for the roll, I still had my 2000 SE 5-speed, so I down shifted to 3rd pull like 5 cars or so on her and then I hit the brakes and slow down because I always see cops further down that road. So she flys by me and gives me the look like she had me and then I see blue lights light up.
