HEY PPL...MAH BABY IS A 2002 MAXIMA..I'VE DRIVEN 50K ALREADY..
AND THEN TODAY I GOT THE ENGINE SERVICE LITE COMES ON ALL OF SUDDEN.IS DAT NORMAL OR ANYTHIGN WRONG WITH MAH CAR??!!! MAH STILL UNDER WARRANTY...BUT ONE MORE THING IS I JUST CHANGED MAH MUFFLER FEW DAYS AGO....IS DAT A PROBLEM WITH DA ENGINE??!! IS MAH CAR OK?? ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA??!! BIG CONCERN HERE!!

 

What the *** is "MAH"?

Go to a local Autozone, Checker, etc. and have them pull the code for you.

Sure...muffler bearings usually fail right around 50K.

Just ask your mechanic to stick his rod in your tail-pipe to find out.

 

could be the wobbleshaft too. if its bad, just replace it with a high performance AEM one.

i have a 2002 maxima and already travelled 50K and today the service engnie light suddenely went on....and i dunno wat's the problem with it?! is it normal that it comes on when it travelled over 40K?! or it's becoz of other reason? becoz i just installed a new muffler..would it becoz of the new muffler??!!*

I have 2K2 and SES light came on, had the codes read and they were both
emissions codes. I called the dealer and they seem to think I don't
know how to tighten the gas cap. Anyway, dealer is fixing for free, as soon as they let me know what they did, I'll let you know. Your muffler should have nothing to do with SES.

The Nissan dealer told me if the SES light is blinking
then it would need immediate attention, if it is on steady
no problem. I do not know this for fact, just passing on dealer info.

Hey, I have a 2000 Max, I Have 43000 miles on it , the service light
came on when i had 41000, i took it to a a independent shop for Nissans and ran the car through a palm pilot computer that attaches under ur steering wheel and i came back with a dirty catalytic converter. he reset my car and said that if it came back on again to bring it back and he would check it out, A week later samething happened and the test came back the same. So it could be ur cat is dirty. may need a new one.
