~~ Those w/ Stillen Body Kit please HELP!

Ok well I just noticed that my passenger side rocker is loose & there is a GAP in the middle of it on top

To explain better since I cant take a pic since my digi is broke. The side rocker is suppose to be tight against the body of car. And the passenger side one is not & seems its pulling away from car about an inch or two which gives it the gap.

What can i do....would taking it off and bending it back to shape work? I had a body shop paint & install it so I dont know if they used an adhesive....so if they did/didn't should I used some?

Thanks & sorry for long post.....

The only reason I can think of is my buddies kicking it while getting out of car over a period of time, now that the gap is noticable & its LOOSE.

a quick fix which would also be a long term fix....get some 3m double sided tape if you can lift that area up, and then put the tape on it and push down, hold donw on it for a bit, i dont' see why it shouldn't grip and hold onto dear life. 190HPKilla mounted his side skirts himself with the 3m tape and he's been with it now for about 2 months, with ZERO problems. i'm considering mounting my skirts for somet time now and i'm gonna go ahead and get some

let me know what you decide to do.

what prob happened is, they put one bolt in the middle and didn't put like 3 ....so since polyurethane in heat adjusts it's shape...prob sagging....just take off and reinstall it....

I did my sides myself too and used 3M tape and those things are on tight. The only problem I have is the door hits it on the inside.

ok I took off side rocker and where it creased I applyed a towel around the area & used a long zip tie to tighten it till its straight...left it in the sun for 2 days so the heat can help straighten it back to shape as well...after 2 days i applied SCOTCH 3M EXTERIOR MOUNTING TAPE-- no hardware store around my house carries it...i have to go to a home improvement store (ex. Builder Square, Lowe's, etc.)....apply 3M tape to top inside part of body kit so it sticks to bumper of car

p.s. i replied to this thread just in case someone has this problem in future & searches, can find this thread & know what to do

You should run two SS sheet metal screws to secure it from the bottom. That assures it woun't pull away from the car again. We always secure body kits with 3m tape AND SS screws in hidden areas.
