Be more specific. Symptoms? Noises? I have not heard of anyone needing to do this. WHat makes you think you do?

sorry, it's the girlfriend's car. she took it to get the alignment done and the mechanic told her she needed a new axle. i've never really heard of it either. i'm posting here to see if anyone has done it or the cv joints for that matter. apparently the mechanic quoted her as ordering a new axle. wish i could have talked to the guy to understand exactly what needed replacement.

it's not that hard to replace the axle(s)...but it all depends on how much experience you have working on a car. and you need some good tools especially to loosen up the axle nut.
