Stillen FSTB adjustment questions

I just recieved my used stillen FSTB and I noticed that there are slots where the bar mounts to the bracket. I was curious as to why you would need to adjust the bar, and if you wanted to, how would you do so?

No adjustment necessary. Just install it with the car sitting on a level surface and mount it so the bar is evenly spaced between the mounts.
