Kumho KH11s (yes, this is a flogged horse...

but several posts on tires (including Kumhos) lately, so thought I'd add this note. Just put the KH11s on my car, and the next day drove 350 miles - including about 50 in a serious downpour. What a concept, no hydroplaning even at 70 - unlike my Potenzas which hydro'd at anything over 50

Dry traction is much better too, they grip well in corners and off the line. A couple of reviews said they're noisy, but they're no worse than the Potenzas.

Got them at Discount Tire (they don't stock them, but can order them), and talked the manager down $50 - so they came out to about $115 apiece installed.

Glad to hear you like them!! Even more happy to know you are off those RE-92's!!

Now you can drive with more confidence in our wonderful Houston weather...from drought to monsoon!!!

OK, What about the Potenza's? Not the RE92's but the RE 040's which go on the new 350z's or the RE 050's which go on the 5 series BMW's. They look pretty damn hott!!! Does anyone have them and if so how do they ride?

Looks like they are only marginally better than the RE-92's, are not for use in snow, and have a rather crappy life expectancy.

No data like this for the RE050's.

Just for kicks, look at the results for the ones he chose...(we don't have need for snow tires down here)...

and those are TOURING tires!!

i'm rooting for the kh11s to be good tires, cuz they're high on my list of replacements right now. but comparisons to the re92 are gonna be skewed cuz just about any aftermarket tire is going to be better. i haven't read a single post from someone who just moved away from their stocks to anything else that didn't hail their replacements as a godsend.

i'd like to hear from more people who have these as a third or fourth set.
