So I'm heading home from work on a 2 lane road tonight. Start coasting to the stop light and from the tail lights of the car ahead of me I can see that it's a 99 eclipse. As I get closer I begin to see/hear the exhaust. Closer still and I see he has a bunch of A-pillar gauges. I smile. We're the only ones on the road at this point. I pull up beside him. Light turns green, I begin slowly then give it a little kick to see if he'd bite. He does. We both take off. I hear his T/C kick in. I continue to gun it all the way up to about 70 (limit is 55) and by that point I'm easily 4 lengths ahead. So at 70 I decide to shut it down because I'm not too big on street racing to begin with, but at 15 over I could really tarnish my spotless driving record. Of course I get the infamous ricer fly by. We both take the next turn and eventually get to a stop light further up the road. I get in the lane next to him and compliment him on his car. He appearantly has a lot...He had a list of decals on the side of the doors going down from the bottom of the window to about a 1.5 feet down the door panel. I ask him if he has NOS, he says no, it's a T/C. He then tells me that he was having trouble with his clutch earlier. I dunno...Maybe. Anyway, he compliments me and we both go on our way. What I forgot to mention is that the guy was about 19 or 20 years old and had a SMOKIN hot blonde in the seat next to him. I felt sorry for him at that point. I hope he wasn't too embarassed. Maybe she will believe the "clutch trouble" excuse. Anyway, just thought I'd share.

LOL there's no way I could do that to the poor guy. He was a good sport. If he would have been a ***** though, I probably would have suggested that she just get out of the car and come with me.

 

i guess your right. at least he lost with pride. i hate when the ricers fly by after u smashed em. gotta respect a good sport...
