I'm serious. "HEATED WINDSHIELD WIPERS"?!?!?!?!?!?!

I was working on my car today, and I was looking at the FUSE Box (the one under the hood)

If U stand in front of your car Looking under the Hood its at the BOTTOM RIGHT!

On the Fuse Box COVER, it shows what the FUSES are used for ... (on the Bottom right, second last, on the Cover) there is a FUSE for "Heated Wipers" ... but if you Look at The fuses themselves ... there ISN'T one plugged in!!!!!!!

Anyone know what this is about??? Do we HAVE "Heated Windshield Wipers" but they just never Activated it??????

I remember seeing something like this on my 4th gen too!

U silly fools!!

So many of our parts in our car are used in other cars and vice -versa. That fuse box is the same in the infiniti I30, and that car has heated windshield wipers. So please, think smart before you write such things.

That's what I was gonna say, but I would have said it like this: Maybe it's for the I30 and not our car...

Da Hell? Not everybody knows every little thing about maximas and i30s, dude. Are you the same person that will come out and say "Oh, All of you are a bunch of damn dumbasse's, the i30's carpet is made of polyhumalctic, superkimatic, carbons."?

Having single windshield wipers will decrease your HP by 5-7 The more the faster!!

Anyone care to break off their fake rear windshield antenna and send it to me? Man, the area that I live in sucks! I can't even find a shop that sells these.

Speaking of "thinking smart" why not try it yourself? The 5th gen i30 does NOT have heated wipers, nor do any previous generations to the best of my knowledge.

HELLO!!!! Back to the subject. We have a 5th gen I30 owner, ACITRANO, telling us that there are no such things on an I30...so what's the fuse for?

Let's figure out if we have such a cool and completely useless accessory on our cars.

It wouldn't be useless where I live...

I seriously don't think it's anything. In my mind's eye, I can't figure where there would be a heating element inside the wiper. Certainly not in the blade... only in the arm could it be. And I definitely would have noticed something in there... right?

Maybe its like the Chyrsler vans. They have two lines that go across the bottom part of the windshield that defrostes the wipers. but umm

Re: U silly fools!!

Guy ... would I ask if I knew???
Only reason I asked is because it MIGHT be a possibility we can make a small modification to get it working! And since some of us live in areas where we get SNOW ... this would help BIG TIME!!!!!!

Would you chew on Turd if ya knew it was bad for you??

i'm not 100% sure but if u look at wehre the fuse is suppose to go u'll see that the negative end of the terminal is missing. i guess it's not even wired in.. it's possibly available for the euro max's i've always been thinkin' "hmm maybe if i just stuck a fuse in the turbo slot i'll have boost".. if u look u'll also see rear fogs.. but we dont' got that either.. i'm sure u can install some of those cool features but imo in ca windshield wiper defrosters are useless.. or do they mean windshield wiper fluid defrosters???? now that makes more sense.. and i am a SILLaY FOEEee...

I did not see a mention in the ECM, but I am still stuck on getting heated seats added to my car by adding just a switch or harness.

Ok guys lets get real. Nissan (or any other car company for that matter) isn't going to put a heating element in your wiper arm or your seat and just not plug it in or not install the swithch to turn it on! Not gonna happen!

I did a brief search on the Internet - there are a number of companies that make heated wipers, and at least Mercedes Benz offers vehicles that have a heated "parking place" for the wipers.

However, I cannot find any lead that would indicate Nissan or Infiniti has ever offered either feature on their cars...

this is off topic, but....

a couple of you guys mentioned "5th gen i30". 5th gen? aren't the i30's a fairly new model car, i haven't seen or heard of an i30 older than 1996. i am NOT trying to make any1 look dumb, i'm just trying to correct my knowledge by making sure i understand what you guys are saying (or typing).
