Hey 2002 SE owners - what do you pay for insurance?

I first was told $400 every 6 months, and got p!$$ed when they jacked it up to $700...this is with full comprehensive and a $500 deductible...I just want to know what some other people pay because some friends have told me that price is still not too bad...

As has been said NUMEROUS times before when this type of thread is started...

IT IS MEANINGLESS TO ASK!!!!

There are so many variables, who cares how much you pay. Call around your area for better deals, use the internet, or just move. End of story.

If you ask who has the best deals and service, that is one thing. Asking about indiviual rates is quite another.

Chill chill...I'm not takin some scientific study with charts and graphs and ****, I just want a cross-section of rates to satisfy my own curiosity. No big deal.
I can't switch companies, I already looked into it and until one accident drops off in a year or so nobody can save me any $$$. We also DID move (from the city to "fashionable west county") and our rates went way down by doing that (too bad the mortgage tripled, but that's another story )

Someone had to point this out.

Every few months or so this same thing starts all over again, ends up being 3-5 pages if not more of people mindlessly throwing premium figures out there with out a single thought to things like:

age
gender
geographical location
driving record
package discounts (home/car/alarm, etc.)
coverage levels AND riders
and so on....

cripe, I know of areas I have lived (for instance several years ago up north) where the exact same car, owned by a male of the exact same age, with the same perfectly clean record happened to live ONE BLOCK away which, because of where the jurisdiction lines were drawn, ended up inside the city limits and his rates were 20% higher than mine!!! Asking for feedback from a forum with members even outside the U.S. makes this compilation of rates even more farcical!

naw i understand what your saying, its tru though you really can't compare rates. so many factors make big a nd little differences. but he was just asking to see where he stands among everyone else

Exactly.
I am well aware of all the "various variables" ...then again, since there are members here from all across the country it will still give a wide cross-section...say a few people pay $350 and a few others pay $1000...then I can see that at least my rates are about average.
So far from the costs mentioned it does indeed look like I should shut up and be grateful
