Need opinions on Tein/Tokico combo

Need opinions on Tein/Tokico combo
I had my car dropped with Teins (stock shocks) for about a month now. The ride is very stiff and hasn't really changed that much. I just purchased some Tokico to replace my stock shocks. Before I put these on I wanna know how the ride is with this combo? I don't want put these on and find out that the ride isn't any better. Should I change springs if I want a smoother ride? I just wanna do all these at once and not waste any time changing the shocks and realizing that I need to change my springs too.
