WHeel spacers and studs...
I know this was talked about before but I was wondering where I can gt wheel spacers from? I want to push out my rims about 1/2 inch to 1 inch. ALso I know that if i space out the rims I need longer studs. I remember the 300zx was said to have longer studs and fit as well. How much longer are the 300z's studs thatn our max's? Where can i buy them and are there any studs that are longer than the 300z's? thanks guys...

you can buy NISMO wheel studs from Superior Nissan in Puente Hills. I think they're around $60 for a pack of 5 studs.
Typically, you would get extra length
equal to how far u wanna push the wheel out , but that said, I would not recommend that because now you have the wheel being located solely by the studs whereas with the factory setup the wheel is riding on the concentric part of the hub and all the studs are doing is afixing the wheel to the hub.
Put another way, extend with cheap spacers and longer studs only and you'll have a MUCH weaker hub/wheel assembly -which is a no-no
Look up the H&R wheel spacers and you'll see that with any spacer over 5mm, the spacer actually contains a 'replica' of the hub centering shoulder, this to ensure the load is more evenly distributed between the studs and the hub itself....
H&R spacers = good engineering, safe solution
Longer studs only = el cheapo and possibly dangerous..

Would anyone know if one would need replacement studs for 5, 10 or 15mm spacers?
Would the H&R come with them if it is needed? I may get a 10mm to push my rear wheels out a bit further. What do you guys think? (pic -> http://www.nissanx.net/gall/albun09/...32535AA?full=1 )

So does the 15 mm set I ordered.. For our
cars, every one of their kits where the spacer is thicker than 10mm (10, 15, 20, and 25mm kits) come with the studs.
Each and every one of them is also on national back order, I just called H&R's central US headquarters....

The 20mm spacers are the ones to get if you keep the factory rims. I have the 20mm on the rear and the OEM tires don't rub at all. However, with my 18s on, the rear tires rub just a bit over large dips in the road when I have 4 people in the car. Pictures are on my homepage.
H&R 20mm Spacers are $100 from Options Auto Salon

I agree, the rim offset is important when considering spacers. The 18s I have are 40mm offset I think. I forget. I plan on keeping the spacers because in the winter, I am putting the OEM wheels back on with Blizzak tires. I would get the rims that you want, put them on, then decide if you even need the spacers.
I have a pair of 15mm H&R wheel studs but have yet to install them b/c I'm missing 2 studs. I want to buy 2 Nismo studs but not sure which ones to get since they dont specify whether one or the other will fit the max. Can anyone tell me which one will fit?
