1/4 mile is 16.4, so supercharger or not you will destroy him.

My old 200hp Accord V6 would be about dead-even with a Milennia S (210hp and a bit heavier) so an 02 Max 6spd should have no troubles whatsoever walking one. Have fun at the track.

That car is a tad slower than 95-01 autos you should have it by lots and lots of car lengths.

The S is 2.3 Supercharged
The L is 2.5 N/A

Not a chance it can keep up

Just b/c he is supercharged doesn't make it a fast car. Also, that engine isn't an Otto cycle engine, but rather a Miller cycle. Stupid design for a street car, if you ask me...

It may be in our price range but not in our class-
A civic Si would run laps around that thing-

Should not be a problem at all. I drove everything when I got my y2k se auto. My car would take care of either the 2.5 or the supercharged 2.3. You should have not problems at all. In fact don't even bother with him.

Just ask him how much he know about cars. Sounds like the kind of guy that would race a civic si vs a new Mustang Cobra.

do yourself a huge favor and tell him to put some money on the line.... as much as he is possibly willing to put... i think i can spin through first, 2nd, and miss 3rd gear and still beat them

Some 2k2 guys have missed 3rd gear at the track when stock and still managed to run a 14.8. And that car is a looooooong way from running a 14.8.

A stock 4th gen is capable of beating a Millenia. And the supercharged 'miller cycle' engine is a 2.3 liter 4 not a v6.

The 2.3 S/C is in fact a V-6 believe it or not. Mazda makes really tiny V-6's. That's not even the smallest one they have ever made either.

Ooops... you're right. I forgot about that.

Stats from the infamous July '95 issue of Motor trend.

210hp @5300
210tq @3500

4 speed auto

0-60 8.0 seconds
1/4 mile 16.0@88.8

Top speed 142mph

The '95 Maxima
0-60 6.6 seconds
1/4 mile 15.2@92.4

So any bone stock 2k2 should be able to run all over the Millenia. unless it's been heavily modified.

Yes the '92 to '96 MX-3 had a 1.8 liter V6
