Cai

Has anyone with a placeracing CAI remove the long pipe , whatever it's called and connect the filter to the mid-pipe.I'm thinking of doing this due to some binding problem with the fuse box or somehing.Do you guys think it will work?

That's what is popularly known as the hybrid setup. On a 4th gen with the NON variable intake manifold, it produces a better top end. Since you've got VIAS in your 5th gen, I wonder if you're really benefit.
