Exhaust Odor when travels at Highway speeds?
I have a 2000 GXE and when punching the pedal or traveling on highway speeds (also slowing down from highway speeds) we tend to get an exhaust odor that comes into the car. The dealer, cleaned all the vents and replaced the O2 senor. Since the sensor was replace the smell has gotten alittle better.
With the HVAC on re-circulate the odor is stronger than if fresh air is flowing through the vents.
I have tried several different brands of gas (but not octanes) as told from the dealer and still no luck.
Has anybody had or heard of this problem?

get your dealer to replace your cat... it should be under warranty... or get a straight pipe
The A/C is off. With the A/C the smell is pronounced. The dealer said that if it was the Converter then the engine light would be on. But they did say that maybe only part of the converter is have a problem thus not causing the check engine light to come on.
If it was the converter, wouldn't the smell occur when I was city driving also? This is not the case, only when getting on the highway and then when driving 75-85mph or when decelerating on the highway.
I have little kids and I'm concerned about the fumes coming into the cabin of the car.

For some reason, I notice the smell a lot more w/ an intake on the car.
But, as everyone else said, only when you floor it. I thought I didn't leave enough room around the injen cai (supposively) and it was rubbin the auto cable down by the filter...
