About an hour as I was traveling on Route 21 I saw a Maxima behind me, so I thought maybe he would go for a little run since there were no cars around. I have a 2k2 with 2k1 tails and headlights by the way, so he probably thought he was going to proceed to dust me. We took off and I don't know if he was an auto or he just couldn't drive but I pulled on him pretty hard (4 cars or so) on the straightaway, I waited up a couple of times for him and the results were the same. So we got off 21 and onto Route 3 and than off the first exit on 3 and we stop side by side at a light, So since I wasn't out to embarass him or anything I opened my window and honked so I could tell him mine is a 2k2 too, the guy just keeps staring straight and than glances my way and looks away again.

Left me kind of ****ed since I am used to Maxima owners from the ORG and any of us would've acknowledged the other and spoke a bit, oh well, it's life.

I still smoked him! I am hoping to see him again

Thank God for the ORG.

i had the same thing happen to me near jersey gardens mall with a 4th gen. hey guzo i'm going to etown wednesday you wanna roll?

I have yet to encounter another 5th Gen Max around my area here in Virginia Beach, most owners are middle age that arent into modding...boring for me...

 

Why would a 2002 have 2001 headlights & tailights? Is that something you did yourself? The 02 heads & tails are my favorite part of this car!

his HIDs got jacked...he got replacements but then didn't want it happening again so he got 2k1 AE headlights...to make it even better he got 2k/2k1 SE tails so no one would follow him or mistake it for a 2k2 and rip off his 2k1 headlights by mistake

Somewhat similar story, but me vs. an I30(4th gen) weekend before last.

Focker wouldn't move over and kept trying to block me as I'd try and pass going up some steep hills. I could have downshifted an blown by him, but I was already doing 85ish so I didn't feel like pushing my luck.

All of a sudden out of NOWHERE it starts pouring rain and he SLAMS on his brakes. I'm like WTF and I just "mosey" on around him in the right lane. So, he speeds up and I just say F-it and move over infront of him in the left lane. He flashes me and comes up on my azz, but I just walk away from him.

I *THINK* he recognized my car as a Maxima and since my HIDs were on he probably thought I was a 2K2+ and had a VQ35 inferiority complex moment or something. Otherwise, he was just being an azzhole out of the blue.
