Will wrapping exhaust with exhaust wrap gain HP?

Saw a thread that said wrapping exhaust keeps exhaust fumes hot and moving faster to release. Is it worth it to wrap pipes? Anyone do this?

I've never done it for that...but for keeping temps down in the engine bay...

Supposed to keep temp down a little for intake to function a little better. Also supposed to keep gasses in pipe hotter to expel easier thus making engine run better.

It helps but this is mainly for boosted engines where heat and more exhaust is really an issue. NA it shouldnt be much of an issue let alone get any HP from it.

Havent done it, but I was under the impression that wrapping will speed up corrosion of the metal piping. For maybe +1 hp or something, not worth it. Get a cat-back instead

Well, it will help if you have a much more advanced state of tune for a N/A engine, but if you are still stock, then I wouldn't even bother...

I've wrapped my Frankencar Mid-pipe with it and it works wonders on my intake. That little sucker used to get sooo hot. Not anymore. It looks nowhere near as pretty as it used too, but I can tell the difference. Especially on long trips and summertime around town. Peace_
