DANG! driver side window again!
Well for two weeks I thoroughly enjoyed having the auto-up feature on my driver side window working again. It began self-reversing about a week after I bought my '03 SE back in May after I first tried the remote down feature. Now, two weeks after repair, the problem has suddenly reappeared. Back to consistently reversing after closing, leaving a 3" gap between the window top and the top of the window frame.
When it went in two weeks ago I asked the service team to show me how to fix it since I didn't want to bring it in for service if the problem occured again. "No need," they said. "Problem is common, but never comes back after we set the limit switches." Nevertheless.

there is a button on the motor itself.
1. unplug the motor to reset it
2. plug it back in
3. with the window all the way down, hold button in and roll window all the way up, then all the way down. then release the button.
4. turn off the key, then turn the key back on.
if it doesn't work, try starting with the window all the way up.
hope this helps.

you do not need to unplug the motor , the remainder of the reset steps are somewhat correct.
be sure not to use the auto up or down when resetting the window. the reason it becomes out of time is beacuse dirt and debris tend to build up in the rubber window channels and cause the window to drag. If too much current is detected from the window motor the system thinks the window is either all the way up or down and shuts off the motor.
