...70 pounds of stereo in the trunk? How many tenths of a second?

I now have 2 15' kicker comp vrs with a brutus 1500d running em in a 5 cf box. I assume its around 100 lbs. I think around every 100 lbs is a tenth but its not noticable.

.1-.2 at the most. That is the difference between a fat driver and a skinny driver.

Sweet.. not as much as I thought. I don't really do the quarter mile track thing anyway, but just wanted to know if it was significant enough to slow me down on the streets.

Thanks.

Wanna heare something stupid?

I have 2 12" subs (separate enclosures) and stock tire pressures, etc..

Ran 2 runs, pulled 15.2 back to back, on my 6speed.

THen i emptied teh trunk, no spare, all subs out...

Ran 3 runs of 14.5..

Hmmm.. interesting.

Why do you have 2 subs in 2 separate enclosures?

To make a long story short, several years ago, i bought two infinity perfect 12.1's and in my haste and desparation in getting the subs in mycar, i bought 2 separate sealed enclosres... because that was all that was left.. and since that day i still had the same way.. lol

Hehe.. well, if they are EXACTLY the same (I am talking like to the 1/16th of an inch), then it's OK. However, usually having two different subs, or different enclosures, or running 2 subs in one enclosure from two different amps is not such a good idea.

Well, before my audio stuff, I ran as low as a 14.6 ! Now with all the audio mods, my lowest has been a 15.0 - and that was a perfect launch - shifting run. I feel the difference ! I got a lot of mods too .... Oh well, if you want to bling you got to be a bit slower !

ran 14.8 with a full trunk (not including subs) and then a 14.6 when I emptied the trunk. Makes some difference, but like others said, only about .1

That's much less than a full tank of gas vs. an empty one, so don't worry

Extra weight in the trunk will probably screw up your launch more than anything.
