Couple of questions

I recently got my oil changed at Jiffy Lube and they changed some filter with it for like $10.00 extra. Im sure someone has done this. Was this the in cabin micro filter, or was it some other filter? It was dirty as hell. I was told by the dealer a week earlier that I need to get my in cabin micro filter changed and that it would be around $90.00. Then I saw gregs post on how to change an in-cabin microfilter. Not sure if I need to do it or not.

Also I need to get my front brake pads changed. This is an ex rental car, didn't know that when I bought it, and Im thinking should I go to the dealer and get the rotors resurfaced also for about $200 something dollars, or just buy some pads and take it somewhere to be changed. I was thinking of getting the rotors resurfaced because Im sure the car was probably not that taken care of since it was a rental. What are the best pads for the front and how much should I pay. Thanks.

Definitely wasn't an in-cabin air filter for $10. I doubt those jiffy lube guys would even know that your car has one. Probably your intake air filter they changed (did they even ask you first? or just changed it then charged you for it? lame)

Don't let nissan turn your rotors or do anything with your brakes (WAY OVER CHARGED for that kind of stuff). I'd get new pads, OEM, and have your rotors resurfaced by some other machine shop.

The reason I say get Nissan pads is because you're keeping your Nissan rotors. Aggressive pads like Axxis or Porterfields will EAT your stock rotors in no time at all. Raybesto's makes a decent upgraded pad to use on stock rotors, but unless you're upgrading the rotors, I'd just stick with Nissan pads.

Good luck

I think the oil filter is included in the price of the oil change. It probably was the air filter.

On a separate note, I dont use Jiffy Lube anymore. To make a long story short, went there one day w/ my 99 Accord and they told me that I should have the injectors flushed & cleaned. I told the the guy that I'd have it done later by Honda and went on reading a magazine. Went to pay when my car was done, and it was around $100. When I asked why it was that expensive, the guy who worked on my car said, "Oh I thought you said you wanted the injector service performed."

And to make up for their mistake, they took a whoppin $10 off...

They need a

Good luck on the brakes
