They washed my engine compartment and now....

My '02 got hit in the rear bumper and spent all last week in the body shop getting fixed.

The great folks at Langonet Auto body did a magnificent job on the bumper as well as scrubbing my car from top to bottom, inside and out. It appears that they completely cleaned under my hood too. But now I have a slight problem.

now, when I hit the gas there is a brief vacuum sucking sound before the car accelerates and a slight hesitation in power.

I have a Frankencar intake as well.

Should I just leave it alone for a while? Did something get wet that will eventually dry?

Thank you for the help.

Bill

I would take off you're filter, and see if it is wet, and take a look inside of the filter's pipe to see if there is any water left in there.

I don't care what products are out there to clean an engine...water and motor do mot mix. I would prefer a dirty engine.

I've never had a problem in 18+ years of driving and I've sprayed the **** out of the engine compartments in all my cars. I just avoid direct spray on the electrical components and air intake.

If done right.. I know it does a good job...But water always finds a way where it does not belong. I'll stay safe and dirty

That's why I never get my Max engine pressure washed. Especially on those belts.
