so i bought a remote on ebay for my 2001 gxe and I tried it quite a few times and i could not get it to work. I would get in lock the doors and put the key in and out 6 times and the hazards would flash, then i put the key in again and put it into acc and press a button but nothing happens then... i tried this a lot of times... the fcc id is NHVWBU43 is that the correct one for a 2001 GXE? thank you

 

well apparently no one knows this... how much would it be for a dealership to program the remote i already have? if they cant get it to work then...

 

Dude, don't spend any money, when I get home this evening I will email you a copy of the instructions on how to re-program your remotes. I bought an extra one off of ebay just to keep handy and the person was kind enough to send instructions with it. I will have those up for you this evening.

BTW, you might get a faster answer if you search. I believe that the instructions have been posted before.

 

I did search, and i got the same directions from like 5 places, it still doesnt work. I can get the hazards to flash after puting the key in and out 6 times but when i put it into acc and press a remote button then nothing happens but ill try your directions if they are any different...

 

You might have a remote from a 2000 maxima. Just as a FYI
2000 maxima has purle-pinkish buttoms...2001 has a darker color of purple.

ALSO, a 2k2 remote works on a 2k1
