My boddy was talking smack before saying that he can take me in his 99 5spd. I told him that I wil smoke him by more than 6 cars, well we met right in the middle. Saturday coming back from a club we raced on Rt.83 S in chicago area. First time was from a 50 mph roll and he had the head start and I still walked him. Then from a light I spun my tires a lil too much but ende up 3 cars ahead of him. Second race I was spinning all through my 1st gear, he jumped about 2 cars in front of me and then at around 65 I was slowly walking him had about 1 1/2 cars on him and we shut it down. Third time I was checking the car in my review mirror if it was a cop and he jumped 2 cars on me when the light turned green. I cought up at around 75 had about 1/2 car and shut it down.

My final impression: Those 99 are pretty fast I thought that I would be easily walking him. One lesson that I learned is not to sleep on those cause with some mods they will be able to walk on me. Still the 2k2/3 rule

190hp 205 tq. don't sleep the 4th gens are serious (used to have a 98automagic)

 

but for the 00-01, same size engine as 4th gen but 210hp?

 

222 hp in 00-01, or 227 in aniversary edition. the 4th gens are light tho, which helps a lot.

 

95-99 are just like the 02-03 maximas
the 00-01s were using the same engine but more horses BUT more weight too just like the 04 maxima. Same engine more horses BUT more weight too

 

4th gens saved nissan from bankrupcy-

Yes but the 00 had a major jump in power vs the 99 32 hp and more torque(more weight but it still should have been a little faster but it wasnt) vs the 03 vs 04 of 10 hp and 9 in the torque(small jump) with more weight for the 04 and the 03 being quicker.

 

Mardigras's car would beat it, been proven. Matt ran 11.9...

Plus with the new motor and Turbo, I think we may see 10s
