Headlights?

Hi i have a 00 maxima and I installed these aftermarket bulbs off ebay i bought off ebay. well the wattage is very high on them, I think 100/90. Well anyways one of my headlights went out the other day and i went to go check on it and it seems that the harness is melting. What should i do? Im thinking of ordering this off ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2434575150

If you are going to use those high wattage bulbs I would go ahead and use a better harness, like the one that you posted. I wouldn't pay 26.99 for it, the harnesses all come the same from all over the net. Only one company makes them, and they sell the generic harnesses to APC, Matrix, and other companies that just throw their name on them and sell them for whatever they want. You can find them much cheaper, just check the net. Better yet just upgrade to HID and never worry about fried wires

Just remember that all bulbs are not created equal. Just because it is a 100/90 watt bulb doesn.t mean its any brighter than some other mfg lower wattage bulb. Remember that lumns are what count not watts drawn. A bulb that is inefficent can draw more watts and put out less lumns

take em out ASAP not only will they melt your wire harness, but they will also get so hot that they will slowly start and eventually warp/melt your headlight housing "the front plastic part" i know cause it happened to me. so i got HID's

If you're going for the HID or white look I would totally recommend the Piaa Extreme White bulbs. They're not cheap but they are excellent quality. I ran them on my 94 Integra before I traded it in for my Maxima.
