Does anyone know if there are any plans to add options like Sport Shift for auto transmissions and navigation? I'm looking at purchasing a Maxima within the next year and I'd like to know if these options are being considered.

Also, does the Maxima AE come with heated seats and mirrors, or is this only available with the Meridian package?

Finally, what do you all think of the Maxima vs. BMW 328, Audi A4 2.8, and Acura TL?

Any info is appreciated.

You still need the Meridian package.

The Maxima is a LOT larger and more comfortable than the 328 and Audi.
The TL is a nice car. I just didn't think it had the style of the Maxima and I didn't like how low I felt I was sitting in the TL.
The TL screams Honda Accord to me while the Maxima screams Maxima.
I do like the 5 speed tranny in the Honda. It is a sweet automatic.

Whoa calm down, BMW, Audi, Acura? These cars aren't even in the Maxima's class. If you are expecting the same level of sophistication from a Maxima, then the Maxima is not the car for you. Heated seats are optional and is part of the Merdian Edition. Heated Mirrors are standard and is part of the Comfort and Convenient package. Has for the other stuff, likely chance no. Get the stick if you want the "true" manual feel.
