Muffler Problem?

The other day after I cleaned my TB I happened to get up close and personal with my muffler and I noticed that the exaust was greater on the right side than the left!!!

I covered the one side, thinking it might just be that way but the left side didn't increase. Hmmmmm could this be a problem or is this normal I was in park just normal idle?

FYI my exhaust is now back to stock (no more Y) and I have an SES light with P0420 code but haven't fixed it yet. But I have noticed that the pickup is sluggish.

Has anyone experienced anything like this, it almost seems like it's clogged?

Any Help Is Appriciated!

Robert

on the 2k2 I know the muffler only is open on the right outlet during normal driving. The left opens automatically when you get on the gas more. This is how Nissan designed it - probly helps keep the noise down during normal driving. It's probly the same for your 2k1 max

Oh sounds logical I was just thinking it might be the reason why my car seems sluggish. Thanks for the response.
