noise in front of suspension
took the max to the dealer today to take care of service engine soon light and faint rattle sound in front end. they changed two oxygen sensors and told me that the noise i was hearing was beacuse the rear sway bar (addcco) install, specifically the platic ties that we use to attach the brake line back on the axle had crimped the brake line, making that brake caliper bind and ruining my brake pads. long story short, they cut my rotors and chaned the brake pads.
i test drove the car, noise is still there - i made the service manager test drive with me, he finally admitted there was a noise and told me he thinks it is the trasverse link/joints in the front suspension..
they will take care of it tomorrow. will keep you guys updated.

cool let me know because i'm hearing the same noise coming from the front suspension, took mine to the stealer too and went for a test drive but no noise. I only hear the noise when i hit a huge bump and the road around the stealer were paved.

Isn't it amazing that when you complain about a noise up front they wind up screwing around with something in the rear and not fixing or finding the problem up front you complained about originally.
BTW the diagnosis about the zip tie crimping your brake line is There is no way in he11 a zip tie has enough strength to crimp a brake line. It just aint happening.

I had a rattle in the front that turned out to be the front sway bar. It cost 125 at the dealer to fix. It started out as a faint noise. I couldn't tell where it was coming from, front or back, and it wouldn't happen all the time. I tried to ignore it with the hope that it would miraculously go away. It didn't, it got worse. By the time I had it fixed it was constant.

They Fixed It
Ok, They Took Me For A Ride With The Rear Breaks, But They Changed The O2 Sensors - Ses Light Is Gone. They Also Changed The "reansverse Links" In The Fron Suspension - The Noise Is Completely Gone.
So I Am Overall Happy = New Brakes And Cut Rotors In Back, New O2 Sensors, And New Transverse Links = $245.

Had noise coming from my front end on 02 maxima. They replaced front sway bar bushing. Noise was gonna but i think it's coming back again. what's up with maxima front sway bar problems. heard other people with similar problems. seems like a recall needs to be done.

I had squeeks up front after my Eibach drop and it ended up being a bad strut. Now the other side is doing the same thing. Time for new ones I guess...
