hey ppl.......my 2k2 auto max. have changed a Mangaflow 2 tips muffler..i am just wondering, if i am just changing the muffler will effect the speed and power of the car?? i mean of coz it wont make the car go faster, but will it make the car lack of power?? because i am having a problem now which is when i give the first step to the gas, the car doesn't seem have the power, unless i press very hard like up to 2.5 - 3 rpm......so i am just wondering should i do somehting with the exhuast system or change back to the stock muffler or any other suggestion??

I really don't think the muffler affected your performance at all. Adding a muffler really does nothing performance (negative or positive) wise unless you have a full catback and even then gains are minimal.

 

AFAIK, the stock muffler has variable airflow output. With the magnaflow, it's gonna sound louder but at the same time, you might have lost some hp. To be sure, do a before-after dyno.
