Hood TSB Question
Hood TSB Question
I am aware of two TSB's listed for the hood vibration 02-005 & 01-042. My question is, how much vibration were you guys who took your car in for this experiencing? I only really notice it when I'm washing the car. Does it become an issue in which you can actually hear or see it while you're driving? I did a search, but these questions hadn't really been answered in the threads I viewed.
Thanks in advance,
-Tim

on mine, the welds right in front of the driver had broken... i could see it in the uninsulated spot when I opened the hood. They put some liquid-weld crap on it and installed the headlamp packs and it's all good now.

But before you create another thread you should search on it, or just believe me that I've never seen anyone complain about moisture because of the window seals

This might be helpful. Had a pretty bad hood flutter and did 2 things to fix it. I loosen the 3 bolts that hold the latch to the center post behind the grill with a 10 mm wrench. Slide the bracket down, tighten bolts. Mine slid down 1/4 inch. This draws the hood closer to the grill
Then unscrew (raising higher) the rubber stops on each side that the hood sits on. Go a half turn at a time. And test. adjust more as necessary.
I think you will find this will do it.
Good luck.
Long live the forum.
