My guess would be 8000k depending on which brand of bulbs you buy. Its really hard to tell the true color of HIDs from pictures so I could be wrong. You'd probably be looking at 350-400$

that is the color at which light shines, measured in lumens. halogen is somewhere in the 2500-3000 area, shining a yellowish color. the stronger you get, the more white you get, peak being in the 5000k range. when you pass the 5000k range, stronger intensity light gets a deeper, richer color, which visually starts getting a bluish hue. even stronger gets deep blue into purple. i believe the most i've seen is 10000k lumens, which is an intense blue. it's supposed to be "cool", but so are 5" tachs.

disadvantage, as you get stronger, you lose light. that is why 5000k is peak. that's considered the best light output. everthing else is considered lesser light output, and as much as you THINK it outputs more light (you paid more, so it has to put out more...WRONG) it really doesn't.

hope this helps.
