Left Front Side Humming/Whine
Left Front Side Hum/Whine
Took my car to the dealer for the tranverse link, right passenger window noise which were fixed, but one problem they couldn't figure out after having my Max for two days is a humming/whine sound coming from the left front of the car which starts at 50mph and peaks at 60mph then goes down again around 70mph (I think it is there but the wind/road noise mask it). There is no pulling, vibration or rattles to accompany this sound. It drives straight as an arrow but this sound is annoying me. They claimed they tried everything and couldn't find what was causing it and blamed it on the tires (Sumo HTR+ 235/45-17). I would agree if I could hear the sound all around, but it is localized to the left front side. What the service rep didn't tell me was, did he check alignment, front bearing, rotors. I took the tires off and one by one changed all to the front and the sound persists. Thinking about taking it to another Nissan service area to see if they can be more helpful. Need some suggestions on what it could be from my fellow Org members. Thanks.

Update: I decided against taking it to another Nissan service area and took the Max to a performance tire shop that was recommended to me by some friends. The owner and me took a ride and he acknowledged the sound and instructed me to drop the Max by on Monday and he would tell me what is causing this noise. His first impression by the type of sound was the tire, but a detailed inspection would be needed to make sure that there aren't any other contributing factors to the noise. Will keep all posted.
