Hal's car is a beast, so I would be very weary about buying it. All that power through the stock VQ is incredible, we have such strong engines....but then again, how long can a little 3.0L V6 on stock internals last with that much brute power running through it's veins?

You need to have a LONG and SERIOUS talk with him. You need to talk about what kind of warentee you will get, if he will fix things that break, everything that will be included, ect. If he backs the car up with some sort of warentee, I say go for it! But make sure you turn the boost down for daily driving!

I've had the pleasure of going to the track with hal before, and yes, his car is ridiculous... It's basically just like my car but with nitrous... that's the only difference really. And my best run to date is 13.4 @ 108... so with nitrous you get the idea... I say go for it if you want the speed, hal's car is in good shape, but yes it is putting out alot of power... his car and my car are both reliable without the nitrous spraying going on, hell last night at the track I ran a 13.8 @ 86, and my 1/8 mile was an 8.8 @ 85... I missed 4th and hit 2nd which zinged me up to 9000 rpms... car is still running like a champ, goes to show you how well built our engines are, and the fact that the springs could keep up with that amaze me... :O

A 95 max is definetly something Id get in the future just to do what Hal did to this, keep it a sleeper but churn out well over 400whp. You basically have no use of gears 1-3 though

Edit: No I wouldnt

i know what you mean with the desire for more speed. I wanted to get something fast(er) when I was lookin for my car about a year ago. Lookin at 300ZX's, Supras and 3000GT VR4s. I'm glad I ended up with the new Max cause it will definatly last me the next couple years thru college, then I plan on buying a project car, like the 300ZX or maybe even a sleeper Max... but for a trade down from 2001 to 95, not worth it. Get a project car for cheap (4000 or somethin for a stock 95 max) and put some money into that. Then you get the satisfaction of knowing you did that yourself too!
