Burned Clutch

I burned my clutch last night. As of this morning it seemed ok. No serious problems. This is the first time I did it on my 2k1 Max (40K miles). I should be ok right ?

also, does warranty cover it?

Can you describe exactly "How" did you burn your clutch?

Were you riding on your clutch?

Went WOT without releasing the clutch completly?

Clutch fully released, WOT, but the car wasn't moving? (Very bad~)

What do you mean, "burned" the clutch? i.e. you dropped the clutch once or twice doing a burnout or something?

Just doing it once shouldn't destroy it... but keep in mind every time you do it, it'll shave some life off the clutch... bringing it closer and closer to the day it DOES fail for good

Thanks for the responses...

I burned it on a hill...stupid me did it in 2nd gear and held the clutch too long...

I had to get my oil changed anyway so I asked the guy to check out the clutch, he said it's fine. Whew...

Thanks again for the responses....(funny thing is, every person I told that I burned my clutch, asked me if I was racing, )

Is it bad if you attempt to shift into gear, but it doesn't actually engage. For example, you didn't pull it in far enough such that it is in the gear channel, but not engaged and you then get on the throttle. I've had this happen once or twice and wasn't sure how bad it was. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks, Matt
