Consider me signed, but good luck. I have been argueing with Nissan for 2 1/2 months and still no resolve. Nissan is the worst most pathetic, lying, worthless, can never duplicate the problem excuse having company I have ever seen. ANd yes my car still hesitates, knocks and loses power.

I've got to commend you for taking the time and effot to put this together to send to Nissan but, based on many prior experiences with them, this will not get beyond them looking into it and never getting back to you. Nor will it ever see an executive's desk as they are insulated by others whose job it is to defray customer complaints.

In any event, send it but I would also suggest you copy ever major car magazine so they can publish the issue and number of people that signed. Now that's how to get Nissan's attention. They do indeed respond to issues that are in the public realm for fear of losing sales and tarnishing the brand image. Let Nissan know you have sent copies of this to those magazines, etc. Just a suggestion to help ensure all you work pays off and NIssan actually does something about it.

ps-Remember the 'hesitation' issue that every dealer said was normal even after 18 months of Nissan and Infiniti customer complaints. They did nothing until it appeared in a test review of I believe it was either an Altima or Max. Within 2 months of that article, a TSB was issued.

To quote another response I saw to a question like this earlier....

TSB's only tell you that Nissan is admitting they made a fu&@'ed up part, but it does not mean they are guaranteeing any replacement. You'll still have to fight them to get any satisfaction.

No, its either timing chain rattle or VTC sprocket. There are a couple of threads active about this now if you are looking for more information.

Mine just went today on my '00. The car hesitated, then light blinked. I took it my mechanic (non nissan) who pulled the code and found misfire on cylinder 2. This meant either the coil or simply the wire. I'm leaving it with him for the weekend to fix...nice Christmas present. Put me on the petition.
