1995 M3 Comparison?

Does anyone know what kind of numbers a '95 M3 puts down? I tried searching the web, but all I came up with is stuff for the European model.

Just curious how it stacks up to my '03 6spd. OBVIOUSLY it's going to handle like a dream... but how's the power compare?

Thanks...

They should do 0-60 in about 6 seconds flat (give or take) and the 1/4 in mid 14's @ 95-97 mph. Quick cars

I can hang but slowly lose it to my friends 96 M3. I pretty sure a 2k2 or 2k3 can hold its own.

Those M3s are high revers. If the driver is good enough to drive the car properly, any pre-2002 maxima is toast unless heavily modded

The 95's seem to have a bit less torque than it's predacessors (3.2's), but make sure he is not chipped or he will burn you....OBD I baby.....throw a european MAF on that thing and watch out!.......Just a heads up..........You should be able to see it thru the front grill/ brake cooling duct if he has one. Peace_

I ran two different E36 M3 coupes (5 speed) on the same stretch of Route 1 - Edison NJ with similar results: Fully hung with them through their 1st & 2nd gear but got pulled on in their 3rd gear. Caveat: My 2K2 is an automatic; I can only speculate how good a well driven 6sp could do against it.

Peace.

My brother has a 1997 M3 5 speed with ECIS intake, Koni/GC, and AAW clutch/flywheel. It's faster than any Maxima I have driven. IMO it would take F/I in a Maxi to take his car out.

I used to own a 95 M3. I actually raced a 2K2 Max with it. I did own the Max but I was impressed with the way it hung on. That is why I own a Max now. I do miss the bimmer though.

Go to www.car-stats.com for all your 0-60 times and so on. Good web site.

Here's a snippet from Car and Driver (July 1994)

0-60: 5.6 seconds
0-100: 14.9 seconds
1/4 mile: 14.3 sec @ 98 mph
Top speed: 137mph (GOVERNED)
handling: .86g
70-0 braking: 158ft

For that time (1994), it was pretty impressive.
