Suspension and Tire combo

I just picked up a pair of 2004 SE Rims and Tires (245/45R18) for my 2K2 and wanted to lower it. I have Maxspeed springs already but when driving around and a person in the back (girlfriends friend who weighs no more than 115) and I hit a bump it sounds like it rubs.

Is there a spacer or way I can lower it and make the rear springs a little stiffer or not drop as much so this doesn't happen. The tires are a bit big but I don't feel like buying brand new tires when I don't need them. Plus they are GREAT in the rain.

where exactly is it hitting? you could get your fenders roled but that suchs. spacers may take you in the wrong direction. my best guess is 235's

The rear is rubbing. Its not all the time but if its a bigger bump. I am stock height right now and people say it doesn't look bad but I still have that wheel gap in the front and want to get rid of it. It would look good with the rear dropped 3/4 of an inch also. Are there spacers or something like that? Are the Maxspeed springs a lot tighter then the stock ones?

Is there anyway around it without changing the tires? When you say spacers what do you mean? For the springs right?

spacers are for wheels, not springs
(just rears only)

I've wanted to see a 5th gen with the 6th gen wheels.... especially from the rear. Does it still look like the tires are sunk in toward the car too much, or do they move out and give the rear a wider, more agressive stance? any pics?

If the rear is rubbing then why would I use spacers to have the wheels out further? That just means more rubbing right.

I will get some pics as soon as I can. I like the way it looks as most of my friends do. It does make it look much more aggresive to answer your question and the rears are out further. It did raise the car up a little because of the bigger rims and bigger tires but except for my friends that are into slammed cars everyone says it looks good.
