VQ35 Dyno #s (G35, Z, Max, etc)

I guy that i know has a G35 sedan stock that produced 248.3whp on the dyno. This is a number that the coupe and the Z should be making. It would upset me that if I bought the Z or the coupe for the "extra" horses and it turned out to be all bogus. I guess Nissan loves to play games with the HP numbers just like the Max's and Alty's. I wanna know what numbers the 04 Max's are dynoing at.

What is really different that these cars can dyno at mid 200s and we only dyno at low 200s.

Discuss...

i doubt it made 248whp STOCK. that is very high and it means it has a bit over 300hp to the crank

the person that you know isnt stock.

Nothing really to discuss...we all know Nissan plays # games and with that information we know now, we can use to buy another car if we ever need to. Also for more info contact StevTec of this site...

theres a difference bettween our engine and theirs...we have the 2nd gen VQ while they have the 3rd gen VQ

that's all. The End. Nothing else to say.

Differences?

ECU, headers, exhaust, intake manifold, just to get started.

HIGHLY doubt 248.3whp on a DynoJet w/SAE correction. If true, that's a ringer motor.

Agree...

There's no way it made almost 250 at the wheels stock, unless some Nissan/Infiniti engine assembly tech decided to really massage the engine for the hell of it...and that doesn't happen often (it does happen in the Mustang/Camaro/Firebird, but not Nissan).

Hard to compare apples to apples on that one. G35s are RWD. Totally different driveline.
