MIL light, any experience.

My MIL light is on again, the second time in about 4 months. The first time it ended up being the computer just needing reprogramming, which cost about $150 (is that normal). It is on again, and the "TCS OFF" light and the SLIP light comes on sometimes with it. The car seems to be running fine. Anyone had experiences with their MIL light, and what was the problem. The car is 2000 SE maxima, 44k miles. I noticed that the MIL light can be turned off by unplugging the battery terminal for about 24 hours. Would anyone recommend this?

I think in a sticky thread or FAQs they have a place to decipher the code. Follow the instruction in that sticky or FAQ to get the code and then figure out what's wrong.

I know how to diagnose the SES light. I'm asking WTF are people all of a sudden calling the SES light "MIL" ? It's not written MIL, but SES.
But Puggy20, go to autozone and have them pull the code, or follow what kratz74 said. But in the future u may want to call it SES light instead.
