Getting beat in a Hemi Powered Ram!
Getting beat in a Hemi Powered Ram!
Hey guys, went to pick up lunch today, and on the way back to work got stopped next to a 03 Hemi Powered Ram regular cab. I'm thinking nothing of it, till the guy revs up his engine and looks over at me with a smile. Light turns green, and all I saw was a Ram logo getting smaller and smaller in my rear view. My first thought was that he was not trying, till I got to the next light and had to turn and he went by full tilt boogie.
Sorry guys I know this is a dumb post, but hey, it was my first race in my Max. So at least I am 1-0 in the Max. Also, I don't condone street racing, but come on, this guy asked for it.

They're not much of a match against a 2k2 or 2k3 Maxima, but don't let these things fool you. According to Motor Trend mag. a Dodge Hemi w/ the 20" rims can run 0-60 in 6.8 sec. So I'm sure one with the 17" rims it could run 6.5 or maybe a little less. Good kill though.

The SS according to a heads-up comparisson between that and the Hemi Dodge, rated the SS a bit quicker overall. Pretty sure I saw that in Motortrend? But I'm a bit bias being a Bowtie fan myself ('66 Chevelle is my dream-car!!!)
Yea, don't think I will try a Ford Lightning, or a new SRT Ram, even with traction problems would be useless.
Is it me, or does anyone else think that the big 3 is putting too much emphasis on hot trucks? These trucks with great handling and performance kind of take away what a truck is for. Not to mention if you want to haul more than just one passenger somewhere.
