That BG 44K injector cleaner WORKS WONDERS!
The car is more responsive, and the MPG is up, even though I've been "flooring" her to purge the gunk...

It's the best brand of injector cleaner that I've used so far!
Anyone else have similar results?

I used the BG 44K, and speaking from experience, you will need a funnel with a flexible plastic tube. The standard funnel shape and the design of the can -think of Campbell's pop top design- will not allow you to pour the additive in. It will get all over the side of your car. You can get funnel with attachment for under $2.00 at most auto parts stores.
I decided to use it because of positive commentary. It is thick and sludgy, not like the watery fuel system cleaners I was accustomed to. I dropped it in, and then topped it off with BP 93 octane. The results were apparent very quickly :
Car runs noticable smoother, idle is like a purr
My mpg is up, Im going on 350 miles on my current tank, yay ! I drive 80-20 city/hwy, btw.
The performance is there. See below link.

I drive an auto, and with 1/4 -1/2 tank of gas, I managed to trap 93-94mph 6 times, my worst trap was 92.6mph, and I managed to get four 14.7's. Only mod is K and N panel filter.
You will be quite happy if you do buy it. Take my word for it.
My Max has 30K miles on it.

I believe that I paid $.99 for one of these funnels, which I used for my transmission fluid. I'm not sure it would be a swell idea to use the same one in this case and have transmission fluid added to my gas, but I saved fully $1999 by buying it from autozone

so all you do is pour this stuff in your gas tank? any possible negative side effects (anyone have a horror story using this stuff)? sounds too good to be true.
i didn't see it online at Napa or Advance Auto...anyone know any stores you can get it at or is it only online?

what's the word on using it on like a half tank? any advantages/detriments on having it more concentrated like that??
also, i'm over 100k now. would it be advisable to use two cans, a week apart?? or is it pointless?

Never used any cleaner in my 4th gen and I'm up to 118k.............however in my manual it says not to use additives. So I have no desire to use a cleaner such as this, in fact one member here used one while running a supercharger.......the extra heat that the cleaner caused while burning cause a piston to burn. Probably not a problem with na...but I'm still skeptical about running cleaners etc. You guys are already running them on your 2k2 wow.

I just picked up my max a few weeks ago and ran some though it. I dont have much to compare to since I havn't had the car that long. I have used it in my prevous car and had good results from it. I dont know of anyone having adverse affects from it yet. My last car gained about 1.5mpg after using it.

BG is well known in the industry for providing top notch stuff. You generally only find it at top notch repair shops or dealerships. Nissan usually sells this product. It is recommended to use every 15k or so. I personally only use it every 25k. It's more beneficial to use over a full tank than to use it concentrated. There is a reason they recommend using it with a full tank.

Nissan has made a blanket statement about not using injector cleaner to keep people for going to an autoparts store and buying useless crap that may also damage the car. This product is not available at autoparts stores and is used by Nissan.

You can go to just about any car dealership, Dodge, Ford, etc. and yes it's sold over the counter. As someone else mentioned you generally won't find it in any Pep Boys or Autozone, but a good mom and pop shop might carry it. A coworker used to work at a Volvo dealership so I sometimes get it there for $14, but it's usually around $17-22.
If your under 10,000 miles it probably won't help with any problems. Even using bad gas doesn't usually develope deposits that quick.

I just bought a can of this... my problem is most of my miles are from 45-mile (1-way) commutes... if I use it I'll have to be easy on the engine the whole time so I don't burn a valve or whatever...
I would imagine another reason it's best not to run the engine hot is because the carbon coming off the injectors/intake manifold/etc. can stick to the valves and hold them open (causing a burned valve if the combustion chamber is hot enough)... yet another reason why running this stuff with long commutes isn't a good idea...
I've recently run Amsoil P.I. through my 2K SE (44K miles), and I noticed my fuel economy dropped 2mpg as a result... which I find very strange, but it's making me paranoid now (burned valves can cause a fuel economy drop). I ran the Amsoil P.I. through with my normal commute.

I just did this on Tuesday. My 2000 has 66k on it and was a little slower then I thought it should be. Gas mileage was around 20-21 on the freeway. I have a 105 mile commute so mileage counts for me.
Much better power and if I figured it out correct about 2mpg gain over last week. I used it with 1/4 tank then filled it up. I'm at 271 miles with just under half a tank.
I've never used FI cleaner because my other car has a carb and that would be like chrome plating a pig.

put it in yesterday afternoon at 42761 mi. on 1/3 of a tank at the gas station, filled the rest with my normal gas (sunoco 93) -- have driven about 50 miles, engine feels a LITTLE smoother...i'm really only looking for the MPG gain since before i would get 20 max with my driving (80/20 city highway), gas light would go on at 300, so i'll know in a few days if that improvement is there, but the engine definitely feels a little smoother, really hoping that mpg number goes up tho
