Why would they do that?!?

Stupid IMO, but most likely they're avoiding the emissions

New update: The headers will not be available in two versions, i.e. with and without cat. There will only be one version of the headers and that will bolt up to the main cat. The pricing on these is tentatively $575. More updates as they come.

Man, if these headers produce 20 hp at fly (17whp), just like on the Altima 3.5, they will sell like hotcakes. Pricing is too good to pass up. Good news about keeping stock cat too. Thanks Steve.

definatly need them now for more flow and weight reduction since recently adding a few purple items to the car that weighed a little over 10lbs.

Good news. I like having the option of using a cat or straight pipe. I guess these will all come with o2 sims then, right?

The numbers on these headers are expected to be around the same numbers that they put out for the Altima.

Good, we'll have headers and an ECU. All we'll need is those $800 Crane cams and the Maxima will be a NA beast.

hehe nah im just tryin to figure out this whole header ordeal. this whole stillen header thing has been driving me crazy. i want 245whp if the headers from HS get me there im sold! since the headers will be on and off the car a few times since we will be switching them onto maximaman777 or quicksilvers car to prove the BS number stillen claims.... i think puttin the HS headers on and dynoing would be a very good plan which will get SWA alot of HS orders since stillen cant seem to figure it out!

will

I just got a kick *** price for a set of Stillen headers, but this sounds better. I am running a CM cat right now, so that should be no problem hooking up to this. Im just afraid of how loud these will be with what I already have. Let see the dyno #'s....

I'm ready when you are Will. I'd just need to confirm the shop use ahead of time. If it helps us confirm $tillen are and HS's are while also helping you get your money back from $tillen I'm there. This would be good data for all 3.5 Max owners.

You's also be almost there cash wise for the TS ecu if you can get refunded...

And while we're on the install subject, anyone in or near the Charlotte area can contact me or Carolina Performance to arrange for the header or any other mod install. http://www.cprace.com/

I volunteered for this task today, as I am right down the street from SouthWest AutoWorks. Ive got the Benjamins set aside for these headers. Ill be doing before and after dynos of my car in a couple of weeks when the headers are available. Hopefully it goes as planned...

Excellent. Do you have a modified exhaust? I'm hoping someone with a full catback will be doing a dyno. BTW, I use to turn out of Central City about 7 1/2 years ago.

Y2KSESteve: When they give you their dynos, can you also request a current list of mods on the car, if any. Also, can you request that they dyno on a completely stock car, as well as a more heavily-modified car?

If they don't have a heavily modded car, I'd be willing to work with you to have them tested on my car. I'm still working with Will to get the Stillen issue fixed. You may/may not be receiving a return of a set of Stillen headers soon... it'll all depend on where we get with Stillen.

We should have the before and after dynos done on PhxBlue's car as well as the dynos that HotShot puts out for us.

Good ole Central City, I know a bunch of people out of there.

My car is a 6 speed.
Here are the engine and breathing mods on my car :
Place Racing CAI, Unorthodox Racing UDP, RT High flow "Cat", PowerTech PT-1011 Muffler.
I will be doing my Dynos at Dyno-Comp. Click the link if you want to know the setup they use.
