3.5 HotShot Header Update.

They are now in production. First batch will be available the first week of December. Southwest Autoworks will be the only dealer in the U.S. with these available for the first 30 days after the official release. Thought I'd let you all know.

Stevie boy, you've got to get us more info! I need dyno runs and video of the dyno runs (since Stillen can't provide anything of the type...). I do trust that Hotshot will make a good product based on my experience with them in the past. If you would, send me any and all info you have on the 3.5 headers (via my email)...

And you're the man Steve!

The headers with catalytic convertor will be $640. The headers without catalytic convertor will be $575.

We got word that they are in production no more than 20 minutes ago. As soon as I find out more information on these I will be sharing with the board. Send me an E-mail and I can let anyone know everything that I know about these.

So does the Y-pipe section of these headers reach all the way to the b-pipe then? (No space for a separate cat?)

I think the one without the cat goes all the way to the B...but I could be mistaken

Looks like Santa's bag is going to be a little heavy this year.

Of course I just put in the Y pipe. Would've waited if I knew.

I was just about to order the y-pipe. Now, with the headers coming out, what should I do? Can I buy the y-pipe now, and just the headers (without y-pipe) later?

Negative. That won't work.

The headers will include the Y-pipe. The headers with cat, will obviously replace the cat and connect to the B-pipe. The headers without cat will be a straight pipe that connects to the B-pipe. Headers will not be available that will connect to an aftermarket Y-pipe.

ARe these shorty headers. I believe the cat that they are talking about is the one inside the header, like our stock header. With out the cat just means that you will only have the cat located under the center of the car. So will these headers come all the way out to the cat flange, with y pipe, or are they just shorties? some one correct me if i am wrong.

Well not necessarily...Y-pipes are still only 1/4-1/2 as expensive as headers. Unless you mean people selling their current ones, used.

They come all the way out to the B pipe (and have the cat as well). They include the Y pipe, as stated earlier...

Steve, Could you ask them why they're removing the stock main cat in either option. The stock cat is very good to begin with I don't see why they would mess with it unless they know something we don't.

I hope you're doing well and everything is where it belongs. Sorry to hear about the car.

17whp for $640 is outstanding

It's quite intriguing thinking about possibility of this and the TS ECU

Can we say 35whp and 35wtq for under $1200 worth of mods ??!!

That's ~ 45 crank hp/tq ppl !!!!

Good for half a second 5 mph on trap for sure...

45 might be a little optimistic, but if those two parts prove to give the gains they claim, there will be some Maximas pushin 300 hp at the crank N/A on the board (I hope to be one of them). Just think - combine those with the cams, intake, UDP, and full exhaust... that looks like 13's in any auto on stock tires to me! I think its time to make some $$

Steve I drive a 2004 SE 6 speed. I actually ordered some things from you yesterday, you said I was the first person to purchase the eibach springs from yall. anyways Im wandering how big of a difference the exhaust is with the 02 and 03 models to were this header might fit with slight modifications. May be easier to use an altima header, I dunno. Oh yeah are you still selling the battery tie downs for the group buy price to .org members?

Ahh I see. I'm sure soon HS will be looking to see if they will fit the 04s. I'm sure either the maxima or altima header should be close to fitting.

OT: The GD is no longer in effect, but maxima.org members do get better pricing on just about everything we carry when you call or email us.

OK, so let me get this straight, if you get the one for 575 then there is no CAT anywhere in the entire exhaust system. But if you get the other one 640, then you will have the precats(in the headers) removed and the only CAT will be the one in the center of the car.

Any word as to if these will fit the 4th gen max's?

I figure if emax95 (I think) put the VQ30DE headers onto his VQ35DE, you could do the reverse.

Ok cool. So for the headers WITH cat, is the cat removable or is it all one piece?
