transponder keys
I did a search on our keys and found some threads but there were no real answers on where to get a copy of our keys made besides the dealer. I bought my car used and it only came with one key. I have owned my car for about 7-8 months now and it has not been a issue but I would like at least 1 or 2 spares in the event I should lose one and if my girlfriend is lucky enough to drive my car for the day we don't have to swap out our keys from the rings. Anyone have experience with any vendors besides the dealer.
The dealer quoted me $147 for a extra remote but I bought 2 new ones on ebay for $32 and the programming instructions were included. Thannks in advance guys and gals.

Buy a blank from DAVEB(888-254-6060) and then take it along with ALL your keys to your local dealer for reprogramming.
If you want to save some money, have a key maker cut your new blank to match your current key. Otherwise, Nissan will charge more.
I think the AE blank is around $40 and programming shouldn't be more then $50, so around $90.

Agreed with everything Ice says, except paying for the programing. If you don't know someone at your local dealership who can hook you up. Talk to one of the techs on the side and ask them to program the key for you for $20. The programing is one of the biggest scams Nissan runs. It takes them less than 5 minutes to do takes no resources except a few minutes and they charge you $50, ridiculous.
Good luck.

I'm in the same boat but since "we" are in the same boat I'll throw you a bone. Check out: http://www.nvo.com/chipkeys/nissankeys/ $19 per key.
