Upgrading from BOSE and NAV?

I've got a 2k2 with the Bose and Nav. I'd like to upgrade the stereo, but am not sure what I can do since I'm limited by the Nav screen up front and then need for all of the stock trunk space (am a parent). I'd like to use all seven of the stock speaker locations, have an in-dash changer and possibly add DVD playing capability for the passengers. Any suggestions for the head unit and video screens to fit in the head rests and visors? Also, is a Bass-link the only sub unit I can put in the rear shelf? Lastly, assuming I used amps to power all of the speakers, where should I mount them in order to prolong their life? Thanks.

I still have most of my trunk available....There is an adaptor that makes our Navi screen into a dvd player. You just need to buy the adaptor and a dvd player.
